So you have a new rig!

I had the honor of shaking the hand of fellow who at the time was my senior.  He had twenty some years of driving a semi with no accidents, dents, scratches, or even a traffic ticket.  As I recall his first name was Tom, and he retired with this unblemished driving record.

So many people we meet have an "attitude" that they can handle their rig with no problem based on their years of experience driving a variety of vehicles over the years.  Many are blasé about driving their new RV until the moment they knock something down, or until the first damage is done.  I have two pieces of advice.  First, drive slow, and sometimes slower, and sometimes STOP!  Encountering a bad situation can usually be remedied if you can back up, or at least assessing the bad situation.  My second piece of advice is, get help in handling any large rig.  We maintain the largest and best RV driving school in the world, but if not us, get a capable professional to show you "the ropes".  Everything can be fixed or replaced for the most part, but we don't need the stress of damaging our dream RV!  -- Enough
